Karuna Devi Foundation is a secular, non-political, non-profit voluntary organization that works dedicatedly for the welfare of underprivileged children, their families and their communities among the tribal, slum and rural populace in India, with thrust on the state of Delhi.

It was founded with the objective of impacting the lives of destitute poor children, enabling them to maximize their potential and facilitate growth and progress of their families and the entire community.

every year nearly 16 lakh Indians die due to poor quality care. That’s about 4,300 deaths every day due to poor treatment. Out of 86 lakh deaths globally from conditions treatable by health care, poor quality care is responsible for an estimated 50 lakh deaths while the remaining 36 lakh deaths are due to poor access to health care, says the world’s first assessment of the quality of care.

What happens when a country of the size of India has over 3 million children living on the streets? Or has over 150 million children working as bonded labourers? Or one out of every six girl child does not live to see her 15th birthday? What happens when despite having a national policy for compulsory primary education, only 50% of children have access to education?

Karuna Devi Foundation plays an important part in protecting poor children’s health and education. A lot of awareness is created amongst the Indian people on deadly diseases like Heart Disease, Cancer, etc. for which camps are set up and run all over the India from time to time.Children living in the slums are also provided nutritious food, medicines and clothing free of cost. Karuna Devi Foundation take care of Secondary, Primary and Middle level schools for offering stationaries free of cost and education to the poor and street children
